This painting has been painted in many layers and it changed multiple times. Heart is a common subject in my paintings. I choose it as a symbol of being alive and enabled to feel.
About the Artist:
The very first idea of making irregular artworks was triggered in an art exhibition that was held in Thames-Side Studios gallery in 2019. I saw some paintings that were very large and tall. Then, I certainly had this idea in my mind to experiment more and make something different then I used to. My initial idea was to prepare a long piece of canvas and paint a series of paintings on it so it looked something similar to a camera film with different shots. So, I have painted a couple of tall canvases which made me think of making all kinds of shapes. In the beginning I started to make little shaped canvases and really enjoyed it. As the time went, my ideas evolved and I discovered new possibilities of hanging the paintings in unusual places, turning them and connecting them together in different ways. I am still on my way to finding perfect shapes and compositions.
