Concept:

Is this a time for superheroes? If so what should our contemporary superheroes look like? Not wearing a cape that’s for sure. This second-hand scrapbook superhero seems to suit our times, just as the piece itself is a collage of found and out of context images. He’s got Rembrandt’s nose, but there’s a smart phone ready for a selfie. Is the scallop face mask something to hide behind, or a death mask skull. Fatboy, the Cornish superhero might not be fit for purpose but he does seem fit for the times.
